Lomond Property, Estate Agents and Ayrshire’s largest Letting Agent, are ready to continue to meet the modern needs of sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants in a bold move to consolidate and centralise the business, whilst offering robust services with a flexible and green strategy. And with COVID-19 a crucial factor for all businesses, safety is also top of the agenda.
Founded in 2005, Lomond has long-embraced technology and has moved to cloud-based management systems for both sales and lettings. This allows online access to documents and an array of important information. Ross Cowan, Director, said, “How clients reach out and communicate with us has changed in recent times, and it is important we meet their demands whilst retaining a strong local presence. We want to serve the community and allow people to enjoy what Ayrshire has to offer.”
As well as consolidating in the virtual world, Lomond is focusing day-to-day operations around its refurbished Prestwick office, now the South Ayrshire HQ. Including the Irvine office, Lomond’s 14 staff will continue to provide the same professional, value-added services to all. Stephen Spence, Director, feels “the creation of two new ‘property hubs’ will be significantly beneficial, and allow the continued enhancement of our services provided throughout Ayrshire.” The Ayr office at 28 Parkhouse Street will be primarily be used for Lomond Invest, as well as – in these times of COVID-19 – providing additional space for field staff and social distancing needs. All this reorganisation keeps the focus on customers and clients, especially as Lomond completed their fifth letting agency acquisition in April, taking the managed rental portfolio to over 700 units.
The company have a strong foothold in the Ayrshire sales’ market, selling in excess of 300 homes in 2019, and reporting excellent figures for the first quarter of 2020. Post-lockdown has seen an impressive V-shaped bounce back. As well as sales and letting, the company has branched out with Lomond Invest. This was launched last year and, working with investor partners, has already brought a number of quality and energy efficient properties to the rental market. Lomond Invest focuses on the source, renovation and management of quality rentals homes across Ayrshire. It leverages all of the company’s experience, understanding demands on how a property should be upgraded to create not only a good long-term investment, but an excellent family home that can be run in an energy efficient and socially conscious manner.
Lomond are looking forward to a bright, prosperous, green and safe future.
